This week, I started doing Class Dojo. If you have not signed up, please do so that you can keep up with your child's behavioral success! Also, Be aware that we will have a 50 States Test on Friday, September 20! Students will be expected to label all 50 states with the states' abbreviations. There will be a word bank for the test. Here's a video that can be used to help you remember them! Corny or not, if it helps, it helps! ;)

Off to a Decent Start!
Thank you for helping us get off to a good start! Please encourage your children to study for the quizzes. They sneak up on you quickly! Also, I have several students who are very..."social" (to use a nice term). Please encourage your child to be respectful to those around him/her so that his/her classmates can concentrate.
If you are not a part of my Remind group, have your child let me know so I can send you the invite.

5TH GRADE BEGAN READING WONDER BY R.J. PALACIO THIS WEEK. VOCABULARY CAN BE FOUND ON THE VOCAB TAB TO THE RIGHT.
6TH GRADE BEGAN READING THE TRUE CONFESSIONS OF CHARLOTTE DOYLE BY AVI. VOCABULARY CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON THE VOCAB TAB TO THE RIGHT.
Please study the vocabulary and keep up with the reading for each section of the books. Students will be tested on comprehension and knowing the vocabulary after each section.

ROLLING ON
The year is off to a pretty good start. We will be finishing up Number the Stars and Love That Dog. 6th Grade will have a Poetry Notebook Project to complete by October 3. Click on the link on the right side of this page for details.
We have had several students who have received a step for behavior in the past few days. These steps are cumulative and across classes, so they can add up quickly to an office referral. Help us remind students of this!
The end of the 9 Weeks is October 5!
